'CELEBRATION OF CULTURES' DAY
Non-School Uniform Day, Thursday 3 April
Thursday 3 April will be a whole school non-uniform day in aid of our 'Celebration of Cultures' Day. We are inviting students to dress in clothes or colours that represent their culture. Students who wish to participate in the non-uniform day will need to donate £1 to their tutor on, or before, Thursday 3 April. The non-uniform money raised will be donated to the charity Caritas India.
The Diversity Society students will also be running some stalls during break time on 3 April. As well as information about particular countries, the stalls will offer pre-packed snacks from different cultures which students may wish to buy. We would encourage all students to bring some loose change with them.
Our 'Celebration of Cultures' Day is preceded by our Cultural Celebration evening at 6:00pm on Tuesday 1 April in the Main Hall. There will be performances by students from years 7-13, followed by a fashion show to showcase different cultural dress. Tickets for this evening event, priced at £2, are available to purchase via ParentMail.
