We are pleased to announce that British Airways, The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), easyJet and Manchester Airport Group have collectively sponsored 575 spaces for Schools, Colleges and Universities on the 24/25 Fantasy Wings programme

The Fantasy Wings programme aims to equip young people aged 13-25, particularly those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and young women, with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the aviation industry. Our partners include leading aviation organisations in the UK, such as British Airways, the Civil Aviation Authority, easyJet, Virgin Atlantic, Manchester Airport Group, The CAA and NATs. The programme runs in person in London, Birmingham, and Manchester on one Saturday each month for ten months, beginning in October. We also have several work experience and practical skills opportunities available with our partners at the end of each programme.

As part of the programme they will:

  • Learn how to become an Airline Pilot
  • Explore Aviation Careers such as Engineering, Air Traffic Control, Leadership, Regulation, Airport Operations and much more
  • Be in with the chance to win one of 3 fully funded Private Pilot Licences at the end
  • Be in with the chance to win one of 50 fully funded trial flights at the end
  • Receive an accreditation at the end for use professionally

Please note that spaces on the programme will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the sponsored spaces are all reserved, we will be unable to allocate any additional spaces and we will then add your school to our waiting list in-case any more spaces come up.

We also received additional requests for spaces from educational institutions that had already been allocated their spaces last year. While we are unable to provide more than the allocated amount of 5 spaces, we offer additional spaces for purchase at a cost of £280 per pupil per space for the year. Please let us know if you would like to purchase additional spaces for your students once you have been allocated your five free spaces.

Please visit our social media page at www.instagram.com/fantasywingsUK to see images and videos from our previous programmes.
