Leeds Futures: STEM is a national outreach programme designed for individual learners in Year 12 / Year 13. It provides you with the opportunity to learn more about a subject area you are interested in pursuing at university, whilst developing your study skills and careers awareness. Students enrolling on the programme will attend a variety of STEM-related activities alongside receiving advice and guidance on practical matters such as UCAS applications, accommodation choices and student finance. Sessions will run online after school/ college with at least one opportunity

At Herts, we are preparing for our first Open Day of the year this Saturday. I have previously heard from several of my Teacher and Adviser contacts that their students have been experiencing barriers to accessing Open Day due to the cost of travel.

I just wanted to let you know that this year we are offering to help cover the cost of travel for anyone traveling more than a total of 90 miles by car (45 miles to and from), up to £100. Parking on campus for Open Day is also free. 

Those travelling by train can use a voucher to take an UNO bus from Hatfield train station to campus, for free.
