GCSE Results Day - Summer 2024
Little Heath School’s Year 11 students received their GCSE results this morning on Thursday 22nd August 2024 with over two thirds achieving at least a Grade 4 in English and Mathematics and two in five achieving a Grade 5 in both subjects. Grade 4+ results in Maths and English remain consistently high, Maths (75%) and English (77%). There were many successes across other subjects, particularly at the top end, with a number of subjects achieving high percentages of students achieving a Grade 7 or above (Business Studies - 33%, History – 25%, RE – 23%, Geography – 23%, Computer Science – 28%).
Headteacher David Ramsden said: “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of the Class of 2024. This year group has shown remarkable dedication and a strong sense of community, consistently supporting each other over the past five years. Their collaborative spirit and ambitious outlook have been truly inspiring. While they have faced significant challenges since starting secondary school in 2019, including the unique difficulties of remote learning and disrupted education, it is their unity and resilience that stand out. Many students have excelled individually, but what shines most is the way they’ve lifted each other up along the way. We are excited to see how their hard work and determination will shape their futures, and we’re thrilled that so many will continue their journey with us in our excellent sixth form. Today’s results are a testament to the character, hard work and determination of this exceptional group of students."
A level Results - Summer 2024
Little Heath School is delighted to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our Year 13 cohort this year. Once again, our students have demonstrated determination, resilience and commitment to their studies and we are incredibly proud of them all. The students have achieved results that will enable them to access further achievements and successes at university, in apprenticeships and beyond.
Overall, academic attainment was high, with nearly half the grades achieved in A-level qualifications being A*-B. Across our vocational courses, 100% of students passed all qualifications and almost half were awarded were Distinction or Distinction star.
A high number of our students have secured places on a range of courses at Universities around the country, including the University of Warwick, Bristol, Manchester, Imperial College and London School of Economics, among many others. Students who have decided to pursue alternative Post-18 pathways will be starting degree apprenticeships, one of which is with AWE. Others have chosen gap years to volunteer and travel or have secured employment including an exciting opportunity with the army. We are equally proud of them all.
David Ramsden, Headteacher at Little Heath School, said: “Our staff have all enjoyed working with the 2024 Year 13 cohort – they deserve all the success they have achieved. They are a lovely cohort and we wish them the absolute best for the future.”
As a school, we pride ourselves on our strong relationships between students and staff. We would like to thank our teachers, leaders and support staff who have worked with our students throughout the last two years helping them to achieve excellent results. We wish all students in our outgoing Year 13 the very best for their futures; we will enjoy following their successes through our school alumni. We hope they enjoy their celebrations and the rest of their summer break. Congratulations once again to the Class of 2024!

GCSE Results Day - Summer 2023
Today, our Year 11 students celebrated their incredible hard work and dedication over the past 5 years on GCSE Results Day. Our students have achieved some really incredible results and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves.
Mr Ramsden said: “I am proud of the results that students from the Class of 2023 have achieved. The year group have worked hard and have supported one another through the past five years, with a collaborative and ambitious mindset throughout. It is important to acknowledge the extraordinary challenges that this cohort has overcome, including three national lockdowns with remote teaching, and further widespread disruption to learning since they started secondary school in 2018."
"Despite these challenges, there have been many outstanding individual results, and some students have been truly inspirational with their consistently outstanding attitude and progress since Year 7. We are excited to see where these results take them into the future, and are delighted that so many have chosen to remain on to our excellent sixth form. Today’s results are a celebration of five years of hard work from an exceptional group of students.”

A Levels - Summer 2020
It is with great delight that we celebrate the hard work, resilience and positive attitude of the class of 2020 who have achieved so much under such difficult circumstances. The students in this year group have been a real joy to work with for the past two years. They have approached everything they have done inside and outside the classroom - their academic studies and extra-curricular activities - with great energy and enthusiasm. They have made a massive impact on the life of the school as a whole. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow into intelligent, confident young people who can cope with anything – even a pandemic in the last few months of their A Level courses. We are proud of them all and will, of course, miss them hugely but look forward to hearing about their future successes in the world beyond Little Heath.
We wish them every success in the future. All the students in the class of 2020 deserve praise for their achievements, however the following deserve special mention in the summer of 2020.
